Broward College offers additional Bachelors of Applied Science Degrees

Coming to Broward College in Fall 2010 are the following  programs: Bachelor of Applied Science in Information Technology and the Bachelor of Applied Science in Technology Management. Both degrees provide individuals who hold an Associate in Science (A.S.) or an Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree the opportunity to further their education. Students completing these programs will have the skills and knowledge required to become successful.

Broward College Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing

A Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is coming soon to Broward College! The program will begin January 11, 2011. Applications will begin being accepted on June 1, 2010.

The RN to BSN Program was designed to provide professional nurses with the knowledge, abilities, and skills to provide and promote complex quality health care to diverse multicutural populations within our global environment. Broward College is approved by Florida Department of Education to offer new bachelor’s degrees

The Florida Department of Education has approved Broward College’s request to offer four new bachelor’s degrees, announced President J. David Armstrong, Jr. The new degrees are the BSN in Nursing, BAS in Information Technology, BAS in Supervision and Management, and BAS in Technology Management. The college already offers a baccalaureate degree in exceptional student education. The first group of 64 future teachers started classes on Jan. 5.

Broward College to offer Bachelor's Degrees in Education

Broward College has been approved by the Florida Board of Education and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools: Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to offer five degree programs for that will lead to a Bachelor of Science Degree in Teacher Education:

1. Exceptional Student Education (PK-12)
2. Middle Grades Mathematics ( 5-9)
3. Middle Grades Science (5-9)
4. Secondary Biology ( 6-12)
5. Secondary Mathematics (6-12)

All program completers will be endorsed for both Reading and ESOL. Core Classes for all programs begin in January 2008. Deadline for applications for the Winter Term 2009 is November 1st. Acceptance into the School of Education is subject to certain admission criteria. APPLY NOW.
